Colorado
River Rafting
Originating
in the Rocky Mountain National Park, this is the classic western
river trip. Enjoy this spectacular river from a different
perspective. Our Colorado River rafting trip offers gorgeous
and somewhat isolated views of Colorado. You can visit dinosaur
tracks, see old stagecoach trails, marvel at the unique geological
sights along the river and imagine the west as it once was.
The Colorado River is one of the country’s most famous rivers.
Our Colorado
River rafting trips feature top of the line rafts of all sizes,
from 13 to 16 feet, accommodating up to 10 folks. Inflatable
kayaks, lovingly called “duckies”, are an exciting option
for those who might want a more hands-on experience. These
stable, easily-maneuvered kayaks are a blast! Our duckies
are for 1 or 2 people and float along with our raft for your
own whitewater experience. On the Colorado River, in a raft
or duckie, magnificent scenery and fun filled whitewater rapids
await.
Moderate
Class I, Class II & Class III whitewater rapids make this
trip fun for all. It is the perfect choice for families or
groups with many different skill levels. We offer both morning
and afternoon half day rafting trips on the Colorado River.
We also offer a full day raft trip which includes a delicious
picnic lunch by the river.
All our
Colorado River whitewater rafting trips meet at State Bridge
Landing - a historic stage crossing and the far west end of
the Colorado Headwaters Scenic Byway. We transport you up-river
in our vehicles and float you right back to your vehicle.
State Bridge Landing is centrally located on the south side
of the Colorado River, only 35 miles northwest of Vail. From
Steamboat Springs, we are 55 miles south on State Highway
131. Rafters coming from Winter Park, go west to Kremmling,
then follow the Colorado Headwaters Scenic Byway to State
Bridge. Visit our information page
for detailed directions and map, or give us a call.
We want
to take you with us and leave you with memories you can carry
home for a lifetime.
